This December We’ll be Home for the Holidays

The Voorheesville Public Library would like everyone to enjoy being home for the holidays with a variety of media.
  • Oh, the weather outside is frightful, but the Kanopy films inside are delightful. For #HomeViewingfortheHolidays, we’re spreading some cinematic cheer with Kanopy. To see some holiday collection highlights go to
  • Listen to VOORPL for the Holiday music playlist on Spotify.
  • Download digital titles from the media streaming platform Hoopla.
  • Need a specialty baking pan? Check our collection shelved in the Cookbook area. Need tools for a “some assembly required” present? We’ve got you covered with our Library of Things.
  • Feel like making the perfect homemade gift or recipe? Creativebug has many instructional videos to get you inspired!

Times Union Collection

Explore Albany history through local news, events, and people with Times Union Collection. Search current and archived issues with full-color newspaper pages, full-text articles and content only published online. Also available remotely 24/7 on any device.


The Upper Hudson Library System has a large collection of digital materials to borrow and it’s easy to access them using Libby on your desktop computer or mobile device.

Check out up to 10 items at a time for up to three weeks. If there is no waiting list, you can renew an item once. You may place requests on items and have them automatically checked out to you when they become available. There are no late fees for E-Books and digital audiobooks.

In addition to your library card, you will need a valid email address and the Libby app for mobile devices. If you do not have a mobile device, you can read E-Books in your browser or you can download software to your computer to read ebooks or listen to audiobooks. 

Creativebug: Online Video Classes

Creativebug has more than 1,000 award-winning art & craft video classes taught by recognized design experts and artists. Visit the site through the Library’s link and access the entire collection for free.
