Join the Friends of the Library
The funds raised by the FOL support our library in many ways, including by funding several popular special library programs. Our community’s generosity, through annual memberships, accounts for more than half of all the funds we raise. Your membership is greatly appreciated!
To join, email FOL at friends@voorpl.org. You can also pick up a membership envelope in the library or complete and mail this membership form.
You may now join or renew online! Simply click the button below to go directly to our online form.
Our Gift to You! Any new member at the Patron or higher membership level will receive this beautiful cotton canvas book bag! (We’ll contact you after your membership form is processed.)
(These FOL book bags are available for purchase ($20) at the Reference Desk in the library.
Support the Library
The Friends organize fundraisers for the library throughout the year, including the Winter Boutique and Big Book Sale in the fall. In addition, Encore Books and the Friends Corner inside the library entranceway are a wonderful way to give back to our community, both by donating books and other materials and by volunteering to help.
Your donations help us support the library by funding these special library programs (and so much more!):
- Summer Reading Program for Youth, Young Adults, and Adults;
- Junior and Young Adult Book Discussions;
- Adult Book Discussions (Fiction, Nonfiction, Graphic Novels);
- Talk & Taste Cookbook Club;
- Free Concerts;
- Jane Salvatore Memorial Award; and–
- Museum Passes (new this year).
We couldn’t do this without your support!

The Friends of the Voorheesville Public Library always welcomes new volunteers. The FOL Board generally meets the first Monday evening of every month and holds an Annual Membership Meeting in June. If you are interested in serving on the FOL board or filling a voluntary leadership position, please email friends@voorpl.org.
