Local History Archive
The Voorheesville Public Library preserves a modest but important local history archive. The majority of the materials highlight the history of Voorheesville and the Town of New Scotland. Voorheesville, New York: A Sketch of the Beginnings of a Nineteenth Century Railroad Town by Dennis Sullivan, Village Historian, is an excellent starting point to learn about the history of Voorheesville.
To access the collection please contact the library’s archivist, Lea Foster at lea.foster@voorpl.org.
Please review the Access and Use Policy and feel free to fill out the Researcher Registration Form in advance. The library’s non-circulating local history publications are contained in the library catalogue and include Voorheesville Central School District yearbooks.
Please click on the “Finding Aid” buttons below to review what is contained in the different subsets of the local history archive.
